Recently, people have been reaching out to me and asking what they should be doing in order to get their homes ready for the market. Here is my list:
1. Deep cleaning and decluttering. Clean every square inch of your home, and make sure your kitchen, bathrooms, and closets are cleared out and tidy with just a few decorative materials.
A fresh coat of paint is always a good idea.
2. Curb appeal. This is so important. You want your home to be sparkling clean and pretty from the moment the buyer arrives out front. Fresh mulch and flowers are always a nice touch, but make sure the outside of the home and driveway are also nice and clean.
3. Affordable changes. A fresh coat of paint is almost always a good idea. Make sure all of your lightbulbs are working, too. If you have small damages to doors, walls, or faucets, making minimal repairs will really pay off in the end.
4. Meet with a REALTOR®. You need to have a plan of attack in place so you meet your time frame and get the price you want for your home.
If you have any additional questions for me, don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email today. I look forward to hearing from you.
